MK808B and HDMI audio passthrough

Hi folks. Hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction. I am looking for a firmware that the HDMI audio passthrough works correctly on for the MK808B. I see people who have an MK808 seem to have it working with the latest firmware from geek buying. I have tried the latest firmware for the MK808B on geek buying http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php.../#.Ut-bmyenzGg . But it makes no difference when selecting the option 'ROCKCHIP HDMI 5POINT1 MULTICHANNEL' under sound output devices. I still only get PCM stereo on my amplifier. I have tried MX player with custom codec and BS Player but to no avail.

If somebody can tell me what to do or has a firmware I can flash from recovery that would work would be great as most of my movies are AC3 or DTS. Any help would be much appreciated :confused:.

Could someone have a look at the update image from the given link?

Is there a way the kit kat Rom from finless could work with it? Or is there any other ROM which should be compatible with my rk device? I started to unpack and root it with the provided unpack tool downloaded at the rockchipfirmware site. Its quite no problem but I would love to have the latest 4.4.2 Android working on my tablet. Any Idea which could be compatible? The stock ROM have one great feature. The whole user space is given for the apps. Something like 15gb or a bit more. With an emulated SD-Card. I love that feature. But on the other hand this ROM given by Trekstor is slow. Too slow for that kind of device. Like I asked, is there any way to port a KitKat ROM for my Device? There are lot of other guys there in Germany who would love to had a Kit Kat ROM for this rk3188 (I think) device. Is there maybe already a ROM? I would appreciate any help. I know my English isn't perfect but I hope its quite understandable.

I flash a ROM from S1 to S1 Pro i didn't see it, open the tablet and try to boot in MaskRom but the nand isn't SanDisk is 29F64G08A... and don't works reset bridge the pins 8 and 9
What I can try?

Help identifying device AC8350, T-R42?

Hi all, can you help me identify my Android box? There are some pics here:

It is labelled AC8350 on the bottom

Also can anyone advise what is the best firmware to use for this? So far the stock seems ok though it does seem to have odd little freezes when on the android home screen (though not in mxplayer so far), build number is rk31sdk-eng4.22 JDQ39 eng.linking.20131126.155035 test-keys.

My biggest issue is that the picture is quite dark, I have had to put the contrast up to full to get a reasonable picture.

Hi! I'm new in rooting and roms. Somehow I've been able to root my next7p12-4g Amlogic. Now i'm trying to find roms compatible with my tablet but i'm having no success. its currently running android 4.0.4. The reason I wanted to change roms was because the tablet has been performing slower and slower even after i've done factory resets and all. There aren't any firmware updates available either. does anyone know what i could do for this?

Need help with RKRemoteControl and wifi PLC's

Hi everybody.

I have a MK808B with Finless ROM 1.6 upstairs. The router is in a room downstairs, surrounded by concrete walls and it only can be there. Of course, the wifi signal that arrives to the MK808B is bullshit.

For fixing this, I purchased these PLC'S. The extender is wifi (creates a wifi or clones an existing one, but it isn't a repeater) and sends the info by the electric grid to the other PLC.

After the installation, I've found one big issue. The RKRemoteControl app in my phone does not find the MK. Sometimes, if I restart the MK while the RKRemote app is running they meet each other and everything runs great, but this happens occasionally.

I don't understand why it happens. If it works once, it should work all the times. Does anyone know why it happens and can help me???

The RKRemote is very important for me. I had an accident and have big mobility issues, can handle the MK with the phone was the reason I bought it.

For more info, my router is an Asus RT-N66U.

Is it 2.0mm;
2.5mm;
3.0mm;

Hi.

I'm testing the different ROM's for my M9 pro 3G. I ended up installing the original one just to see if the problems found with the custom ones were also on the it.

Using GSam App I'm checking battery duration.

This is an screenshot from today's activity.



Is this normal? Is my tablet faulty?

No deep sleep at all, and battery draining on standby.

Any suggestion?

First time poster. I've got a MyGica ATV520 running a 1080p kernel it's great for watch movies, but the interface is a little to small to read even on 55".

Quick Rom Flashing Question

Hi all,

I got my MK908II today. I'm reading through the instructions to Flash Finless 1.5a. It says to connect the device to your PC via the OTG port and it will power up. Do I also need to plug in the MK908II to a power socket using the other micro usb port or will the power from my laptop be sufficient? I ask because I was under the impression that these devices needed approx 2mAh to run and I though the USB ports on computers only supply 0.5maH.

Secondly, do the MK908II need to be connected to my TV via HMDI when flashing. Will there be prompts on the screen when flashing?

HELP, Convert CWM backup to rktools format

I nedd some help, is it possible to convert a CWM backed up room to img format to flash again with rockchip flash tool? I have this dongle http://www.ntech.pt/attachments/arti..._datasheet.pdf
and I flashed this room NEOTVCROM_1.8a_B13_MK812_NX003_20130823 and it works great, but I am having some heating problems and the only room I have is this one: https://meocloud.pt/link/31b45263-4f....00.00.35.rar/ that another person made with CWM. I've tried to flash CWM but with no luck and the actual room as a recovery but I can not use it because the dongle does not have a comand and in the recovery it did'nt recognise the mouse or the keyboard.

Q7 Rk3188 Device - What Works & Help Please?

I have a device that looks like the image below and seems to have a lot of similarities as other devices : I will update this post with exact chipset info as I have it in another location. I wanted to contribute as after a LOT of digging and trying things, this forum has by far helped me the most!

Back of Device / Board Print all specify the "Q7" or "XT-Q7-V10". I have dug into these forums trying to match any print from the board or model and have found nothing so far.

Getting Perfect Playback on 1080p & 720p MKV :

Full Flash - K-R42 Hybrid Firmware (HFW) 3.2 by lewy20041 Firmware

Flash Kernel Only From - K-R42 firmware by wasser 1.2.3

As far as I can tell the 1.2.3 kernel from wasser has the stutter video fix - 1.2.4 does not

With these wifi / bluetooth / Blue Button do not work but USB / Wired Do

I have also dumped the original firmware from the box including kernel, which if flashed has all the drivers to make everything work, however, I loose the video stutter fix. I tried the patch the kernel with the rkpatchomatic which gave no errors and was successful. When flashed it did not boot though. I tried a couple times to make sure and had the same result every time.

I was wondering if someone here could possibly patch the kernel or build a kernel with the patch if all chipsets were specified.

Hello Freaktab! I recently got a Polaroid PMID71C tablet. I had managed to succesfully root it and everything was ok until yesterday, when I rebooted it and then it stayed in the Android logo screen forever while booting. I tried a factory reset and I always get an error where Google Account Manager crashes, or similar services.I'm posting here because elektrik from the Polaroid forums told me I should try also posting on the RK tablets forums, so I decided to give it a go.I'm looking for a compatible ROM for this tablet or a way to return to stock firmware, as I can't use it because it keeps crashing and I'm locked out of it.The system info says that it uses and RK 3.0.36 kernel, build number wss RK30SDK, however, upon inspection, the tablet actually comes with a RK3168 chipset.Any help would be appreciated.

NX008HD8G front camera zoomed on all video chat apps

I thought the initial problem was the tablet was not supported for the app, but I am not sure as the problem is in Skype-ooVoo-Tango-Paltalk.
When I use the stock front camera everything is fine, but in the apps the front camera is super zoomed.
Tablet is rooted with root package & modified stock 3e recovery by shawnmt.
Anyone have the same problem or a fix?

nextbook 7se next712mc ?

I'm trying to determine my device version and its compatability with the roms here.

in the manual it is listed as a nextbook premium 7 se i tried the manufacturer nextbook and they said they do not support the device take it back to were you got it for support.
it is sold in various countries as its own name to big retailers as an oem product I guess.

I have logged in to adb and had a play around and it says it is a yifang next712mc (brand and model)

its serial number is yf081324949

it has 4 gig memory 1ghz processor with 1 gig of ram.

is there something i can do to find out its compatibility with the roms listed here to aviod a potential bricking?

the reasom im trying to root it is so i can increace the app storage as 400mb is nothing and there is 1.3gig reserved os storage i was hoping to shrink the os and beef up the app partition a bit.

mk908 and a touch screen?

I currently use my MK908 in my car with an App Radio 2. This allows me to have touch capability through an app on the mk908.

What I would like to do is just get a 7-8" touch screen connect it directly to the mk908 and remove the App radio 2. I am currently running Finless 1.6a which was the first rom that allowed the touches to be recognized through the app (AppRadioUnchained)

anyway, are there any screens out there that would be plug and play? if not my other option is to try and fit a tablet (N7) in the dash.

MK809ii Bricked following Erase NAND

Hi Guys,

This is my first post so apologies for any noobness!

I have a MK809ii which was frequently freezing and crashing so I decided to try an alternative ROM. I felt comfortable doing this having played with Android phones for a while.

I used the Finless ROM flash tool to attempt to flash Finless 1.7a. I managed to install the drivers and get my PC to see the device however after running the Erase Nand option the device is no longer detected by my PC (win7).

I am desperate to get this up and running and have been reading other forums however none seem to have the same hardware internally as the one I have!

I have attached a couple of pics of the inside and any tips would be HUGELY appreciated.
